Position Title: Intelligence Analyst – Level 3

Work Location: Albuquerque, NM – Kirtland AFB


The Intelligence Analyst (L3) shall provide intelligence analysis and support of both operational systems and acquisition systems. Duties and responsibilities may include interface with the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) to develop and recommend intelligence requirements / procedures at the operational level to support appropriate Command and Control of SpRCO capabilities; interface with Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) to identify gaps, understand gaps SpRCO is filling, and support joint analysis of the battlespace; interface with appropriate AFSPC wings to develop and recommend intelligence requirements / procedures at the tactical level to support execution of SpRCO capabilities; interface with AFSPC/A2 and SPACECOM/J2 to assist in the development of space war fighting OPLANs; define and recommend intelligence support for systems and assist in the development of CONOPs in coordination with the appropriate tasking organization; analyze all available intelligence sources and projected future threats to assist in the identification and development of codified threat list(s) for funded and approved programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience conducting all-source intelligence analysis to support a space operational missions
  • Strong knowledge of foreign civil, commercial, and military satellite infrastructure, receivers, and their limitations, capabilities, employment, and vulnerabilities
  • Critical knowledge of IC databases and their role in aiding all-analysis
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple intelligence sources and produce comprehensive high-quality analytical reports that integrate into space acquisition decisions for senior government officials
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse group of individuals focused on the accomplishment of a common objective
  • Adheres to strict security constraints meeting customer requirements
  • Provide intelligence analysis and strategic thinking across space enterprise portfolio
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by developing and recommending intelligence requirements / procedures at the operational level
  • Maintain, establish, and enforce organization standards
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Intelligence community
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Political Science, History, Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts with focus in Global Security and Intelligence or related disciplines.
  • DoD and National Air & Space Intelligence Center experience required
  • Must have an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.  Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.  Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.  May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.  

Security Clearance:

Position requires an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
