Position Title:  Program Manager - Senior

Work Location: Hill Air Force Base, UT

Job Summary:

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a Program Manager (PM) to provide project control and contract administration.  The PM must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract.  Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.  Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.  Must be capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.  The PM shall provide project management support services.  Project management support services include:  administrative and clerical support, creating reports, briefings and attendance at meetings, cost control, cost reporting, schedule management, technical status reporting, technical reviews and program reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • The PM will provide project control and contract administration necessary to manage a high volume, multiple task processes for a large, diversified team so that the cost, schedule, and quality requirements are tracked, communicated to the Government, and ultimately attained.
  • The PM shall provide real-time monitoring of status/deliverables, tracking the quality of work products and gauging overall customer satisfaction.
  • A Program Management Plan shall be provide that clearly describes how the requirements will be met.
  • Has the degree of autonomy and authority to conduct standard contractual administration; make and execute managerial and technical decisions; engage resources outside of the contract in order to support the contract in times of surge or other unplanned increases in workload
  • Primary management focal point to accomplish the administrative, managerial, technical, and financial aspects of this contract.
  • Responsible to oversee contract performance and manage assigned contractor staff.
  • Provides all necessary program management oversight of personnel, systems and tools to ensure successful performance of all support services.
  • Manages performance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Certifications/Education:

  • Must have 8+ years of demonstrated/practical hands-on experience
  • Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a US citizen

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.  Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.  Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.  May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
