Position Title:  Senior IT Specialist (OSIC/Project Lead)

Work Location: Oahu, HI

Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC is looking to immediately fill the Senior IT Specialist (On-Site Installation Coordinator/Project Lead) position.  The position will be in direct support of the Fleet Installation Office for the United States Navy.

Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Support the Government in managing the execution of multiple large complex projects
  • Support the Government in managing C4ISR execution team activities throughout installation phases (i.e., initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout)
  • Conduct daily shipboard safety inspections and provide on-the-spot recommendations to correct unsatisfactory and unsafe conditions 
  • Develop, maintain, and brief installation progress & plans with regards to meeting cost, schedule, and performance. In this capacity, the Contractor shall develop, review, and update planning documentation for Government approval
  • Review Alteration Installation Team (AIT) work statements to ensure modernizations conform to all statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Alert the Government and Provide recommendations on discrepancies between installation drawings and actual configurations
  • Review and provide analysis to the Government Execution Lead on C4I shipboard systems installation and testing schedules
  • Monitor and support ordering, tracking, and issuance of material and equipment shipments in support of installations
  • Develop and maintain working documents, reports and briefings for Government stakeholders
  • Support afloat platform and AIT personnel in the preparation and coordination of various testing
  • Generate Bi-weekly Status Reports for work products, and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of experience with US Navy afloat C4I systems architecture, installation, integration, and testing
  • Ten (10) years of experience with fleet modernization process stakeholders and organizational relationships
  • Ten (10) years of experience reviewing Ship Installation Drawings
  • Ten (10) years of experience with reviewing and developing technical correspondence, reports and drawings
  • Must be a US citizen

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.  Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.  Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.  May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

Position may require a DoD security clearance.
