Job Requirements of Journeyman Network and System Administrator:
Skills / Experience Required
- Maintain current Active Secret clearance
- Enhanced Trusted Agent (ETA) Duties: Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) hardware tokens for DEVCOM-DAC personnel, ensuring proper issuance and maintenance for classified and privileged user systems
- Data Sanitization: Execute data sanitization procedures in compliance with Army and NSA policies and guidelines for the secure turn-in or destruction of CBC equipment
- License Management: Generate and manage network licenses for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software
- Software Deployment: Develop and maintain PDQ Deploy packages for supported software applications
- Network Configuration: Design and install efficient, well-structured computer network configurations, including connections and cabling
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), Citrix Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI), and Thin Clients across both classified and unclassified networks
- Education / Certifications
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent level of educational attainment
- Alternatively, 2–4 years of practical, hands-on experience in an IT/help desk role or customer service can substitute for formal education requirements.
- A National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (ANACI) is required
- DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: Candidates must possess IAT-I or IAT-II certification as defined by the DoD 8570.01-M directive. For details, visit the official DoD 8140 website
- Computing Environment Certification: Obtain a computing environment certification or a relevant training certificate approved by the DEVCOM-CBC Information System Security Manager (ISSM) within six months of appointment

Security Clearance

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Journeyman Network and Computer System Administrator position who will provide tier one, tier two, and tier three support to DEVCOM DAC G-6 Branch’s. Duties include triage of all help desk tickets assigned. Work with DEVCOM DAC G-6 and ITMSC help desk on coordination of all related trouble tickets.
Compensation Minimum: $80,000
Compensation Maximum: $95,000
