Job Requirements of Systems Administrator IV:
Skills / Experience Required
- Possess and maintain an active Secret DoD clearance
- 5+ years or more experience in a major hospital supporting more than 100+ bed environment
- 5+ years of experience supporting military production systems
- 10+ years of experience supporting Critical communication systems
- Deploy, sustain, and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and infrastructure platforms
- Administer the daily integrity, security, and availability of infrastructure systems
- Perform routine system backups and monitor performance to ensure optimal functionality
- Conduct capacity analysis to identify and address resource bottlenecks
- Maintain the security posture of infrastructure systems through proactive measures and updates
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles for operational reference and training
- Execute platform maintenance upgrades, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring operational stability
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to evaluate and test infrastructure hardware and software products, providing actionable recommendations
Education / Certifications
- Master’s degree (MA/MS/ME)
- 2 additional years of relevant experience is needed if substituting a bachelor's degree for the master’s degree
- IT Security Designation: ADP/IT-II
- Investigation Required: Tier 3 (T3)
- IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT III and CE
- CompTIA Security +
- Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Certified in Microsoft Windows Server 2022 with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a production environment, or equivalent expertise as determined by the government based on extensive work experience

Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced level four System Administrator to play a critical role in deploying, sustaining, and troubleshooting server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware. This senior-level position ensures the availability, integrity, and security of organizational infrastructure platforms, while also performing proactive maintenance, creating comprehensive documentation, and supporting infrastructure evolution.
The System Administrator IV will leverage their expertise to manage system backups, monitor performance, analyze capacity, and ensure compliance with security policies. In collaboration with architecture and engineering teams, this role may also evaluate, test, and recommend new technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.
Compensation Minimum: $118,000
Compensation Maximum: $122,000
