Job Requirements of Strategic Communications Support Lead:
Skills / Experience Required
Strategic Communications Support Lead Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Willingness to consent to and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph, if required
- 15+ years of relevant DoD experience with practical, hands-on expertise in strategic communications
- 5+ years of experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment, with recent experience within the past five years
- Serve as the Support Lead to the Director of Communications, providing high-level coordination and expertise
- Develop and deliver both publicly releasable and classified briefings for senior leadership
- Manage the speaker request process for senior leadership, coordinating event details with legal counsel to support ethics reviews
- Oversee and maintain social media platforms in compliance with SAF/PA (Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs) guidelines
- Lead the development, planning, and execution of strategic communication and outreach initiatives
- Coordinate and support the organization's participation in key space and defense-related forums and engagements
- Assist in responding to formal communication taskers, including reviews, documentation, and compliance with messaging requirements
- Develop branding, educational, and outreach materials for use at trade shows and public engagements
- Aggregate and report metrics, providing relevant material and updates when requested or tasked by SAF/SQ Staff
Education/Certifications
Strategic Communications Support Lead Education and Certifications:
- MA/MS/ME degree in a field relevant to this functional area
- Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Salary: $240,000 - $255,000
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Strategic Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.
As a Strategic Communications SME, you will support designing and executing campaigns IAW DoD policies and guidance, conduct research, write speeches and develop presentations, draft press releases, and manage social media content. You will oversee project tasks, advise on senior leader engagements and support preparation for these engagements
Compensation Minimum: $240,000
Compensation Maximum: $255,000
