Skills / Experience Required
- Secret Clearance
- 7-10 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the IT industry
- Within the last 5 years demonstrated understanding of DoD &/or FedCiv Agency Operations
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to write and present proposals, build rapport and conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to clients, negotiating contracts and collaborating with internal teams
- Technical Aptitude: A solid understanding of IT concepts, products, and services to effectively communicate with teams and clients, as well as in finding opportunities for growth and innovation within the IT sector
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling sales presentations and pitches that effectively communicate our company's strengths and solutions to find leads, build relationships, negotiate contracts and close deals
- Networking Abilities: Be able to use your extensive networks to generate leads, gather market intelligence, and form strategic partnerships that will help our organization
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for expansion while conducting market research, analyzing data, and developing long-term business plans to drive growth

Job Summary:
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the remote IT Business Expansion Manager position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
We are looking for a dynamic individual willing to learn new concepts with a proven background within the Department of Defense (DoD) / Federal Civilian (FedCiv) agencies, adept at identifying, qualifying, and securing lucrative opportunities in diverse realms of information technology such as networks, cloud computing, application development, data analytics, and cybersecurity. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our organization's growth and strategic initiatives, while reporting directly to the executive leadership team.
The primary goal of this position will be to drive new business acquisitions ranging from $50M to $250M annually. You will need to leverage your ability to unlock doors, set up valuable partnerships, and secure contracts in alignment with our company's IT goals and revenue targets. You will be instrumental in formulating and executing innovative strategies aimed at expanding our client portfolio, bolstering market presence, and fostering sustainable revenue growth.
Success in this role hinges on comprehensive understanding of the technical landscape, enabling to communicate complex IT solutions through compelling proposal writing and process comprehension. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in identifying emerging industry trends, capitalizing on market opportunities, and nurturing collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
Compensation Minimum: $125,000
