Job Requirements of Project Manager:
Skills / Experience Required
- Possess an active Secret DoD clearance
- Over 5 years of progressive experience demonstrating advanced proficiency in required skills
- Plan, initiate, and manage complex information technology projects to achieve organizational objectives
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Strategically plan project stages, evaluating business implications and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor project milestones, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and budgetary targets
- Leverage expertise to manage multiple complex assignments, providing innovative and effective solutions
- Tackle broad and challenging assignments with originality and resourcefulness, mentoring junior team members as needed
- Independently perform advanced tasks and decision-making compared to Level I roles, with potential supervisory responsibilities
- Maintain and update IT contracts, budgets, funding, and procurement activities using specialized IT business management tools and in compliance with relevant regulations
- Document, update, and track project risks and issues, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including status reporting, data gathering, report preparation, task list management, meeting logistics, and project risk management
- Conduct thorough research and adhere to organizational processes and procedures ensuring compliance and consistency
- Support technical staff as required and bridge communication between business and technical teams
- Oversee the delivery of program and project outputs while addressing government requests and deliverables
- Manage project and program performance and initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor and track progress to meet established deadlines, standards, and budgetary constraints
- Prepare for and actively participate in internal and external meetings as directed by government stakeholders
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- An additional 5 years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree
- PMI PMP certification or equivalent, as approved by the Government Task Manager
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Salary: $125,000 - $130,000
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives across diverse IT and organizational domains. This role requires a strategic professional adept at providing technical leadership, conducting comprehensive reviews, and assessing the organization’s current and future software and hardware needs. The Project Manager will play a critical role in developing and managing IT contracts, budgets, funding, and procurement activities using advanced IT business management tools and applications.
This position involves managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with organizational goals. The Project Manager will oversee and drive the successful delivery of projects in areas including IT facilities and construction, telecommunications, end-user devices, hardware and software implementation, installation and deployment, cybersecurity, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Compensation Minimum: $125,000
Compensation Maximum: $130,000
