Job Requirements of Information Technology Specialist L3:
Skills / Experience Required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment, specializing in PC/server/network support.
- Provide comprehensive support for PC/server/network components, including hardware, wireless networking, and the installation, testing, and operation of hardware and software.
- Perform Video Teleconference (VTC) System administration, handling scheduling and configuration to ensure seamless communication.
- Deliver direct client support for network-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption.
- Manage account processes such as creation, modification, and deletion, adhering to security protocols.
- Provide multi-level Help Desk support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues to enhance user productivity.
- Conduct precise configurations, upgrades, and modifications of hardware and software systems for optimal performance.
- Offer tailored configuration and support services for desktops and laptops, meeting user and organizational standards.
- Maintain network infrastructure, standalone servers, workstations, and Security Monitoring Systems, ensuring proper documentation of system configurations and activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot system anomalies, implementing solutions to optimize system performance and reliability
- Prepare systems for operational deployment and support operational tests, ensuring readiness and reliability in mission-critical environments
- Provide ongoing configuration and support services for desktops and laptops, ensuring seamless functionality and user satisfaction
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor' degree: Arts (BA), Science (BS)
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Information Technology Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The ideal candidate will provide daily operation support such as data transfer, equipment setup, checkout/adjustment, and software/hardware installation pertaining to classified and unclassified network support and operations. Design and install classified and MS&A network systems in compliance with COMSEC, Emission Security, and other IA guidelines specific to each system installed.
Provide help desk support for classified and unclassified network systems. Complete annual reviews, updates, certifications, and reaccreditations for all network systems, including stand-alone, VTC, and mission systems. Utilize modern business software (Windows, iOS, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, Confluence/Jira) to resolve common user issues. Provide VTC/AV operations, maintenance, and support services.
