Job Requirements of Project Manager:
Skills / Experience
Project Manager Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- 10+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in a DoD or IC environment
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget
- Experience in applying project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, or Hybrid)
- Exceptional leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at presenting to senior government stakeholders
- Familiarity with classified program security protocols and working in SCIF environments
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes while maintaining project documentation
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, status meetings, and milestone reviews
- Monitor project progress and performance using KPIs and appropriate project management tools
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to meet project goals
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and executive briefings to stakeholders
- Foster team collaboration and resolve conflicts or bottlenecks effectively
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies and procedures
Education / Certifications
Project Manager Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred (optional but a differentiator)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) – Preferred

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Salary: $185,000 - $205,000
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager to lead and execute projects across a range of functional areas. This role is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, track progress, and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Compensation Minimum: $185,000
Compensation Maximum: $205,000
