IT Project Engineer Senior

KaiHonua Austin, TX (Onsite) Full-Time

Position Title: IT Project Engineer Senior

Work Location: Austin, TX

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000

Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a IT Project Engineer Senior to join our rapidly growing team. The IT Project Engineer will provide on-site technical guidance to Government personnel and be a part of our cohesive Engineering and Cyber teams in support of our customer.

Responsibilities and Duties (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Coordinates, plans and engineers project roadmaps and specifications for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinates and aligns the activities of IT personnel, clients, stakeholders and engineers.
  • Collaborates with IT controllers to calculate and determine appropriate budgeting requirements for a given IT project.
  • Analyzes, assesses and reviews engineering plans to determine project risk assessment.
  • Mitigates project risk through effective analysis and assessment informed by data analysis and reporting.
  • Rectifies setbacks and delays in IT project deployment and development.
  • Oversees all IT services support tasks and ensure all project tasks are on track.
  • Reviews all process modifications and enhancements.
  • Develops and manage program plans for short-term or temporary initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and review all contract deliverables.
  • Formulates and review plans and deliverable items.
  • Ensures overall contract success, ensuring customers’ needs are satisfied.
  • Attends weekly and monthly status meetings.
  • Develops and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP) to meet contract requirements.
  • QC processes for all project tasks.
  • Maintains system configuration documents and adhere to QC processes.
  • Experience with network engineering, integration engineering, network installation/testing, and performance scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Systems Management implementation and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation Minimum: $120,000

Compensation Maximum: $130,000

Education/Experience/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred
  • Seven to 10 years’ of experience in IT project management or Engineering preferred
  • Must have a security+ certification

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen.
