Job Title: Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer (Task Lead - 6)

Location: Stafford, VA

Rivet has multiple opportunities on our growing Marine Corps Systems Command professional support services team spanning program and acquisition management, logistics, finance, contracts, engineering, IT, data, and other DoD acquisition command professional service requirements.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer provides knowledge, support, and sound guidance in Systems Engineering management for the Marine Corps Systems Command technology customer’s decision making and acquisition processes. Provide the most innovative, cost effective, and on-target solutions to digital and enterprise services requirements consistent with law, regulation, and policy. Supporting multiple levels of the portfolio requires management of the primary supported customer and multiple related customer stakeholders. Support daily engineering documentation requirements such as acquisition, strategy, plans, and other technical writings. Encourage and apply Agile methodologies when appropriate. Long-term requirements include supporting the identification of technology insertion opportunities, roadmap development, and portfolio level staff support.

Additionally, the Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer is a Task Lead which fulfills a few roles:

  • As a prime contract’s Task Lead, be the primary point of contact for the supported customer Task Lead and related customer stakeholders. Be customer-service oriented, proactive, responsive, and effective in handling all customer communications and issues.
  • Lead the contractor support team of 6: acquisition analysts, a systems engineer, and a data engineer. As the Task Lead, provide vision, strategy, direction, oversight, and quality control of task-level performance, including subcontractors. Empower every individual to succeed in achieving exceptional customer outcomes. Support the synchronization of contractor personnel at different levels of the organization.
  • As a Rivet supervisor, empower your team to not only to be successful, but also to set the standard for professional excellence for our subcontractor partners and our competitors.

Compensation Minimum: 128000

Compensation Maximum: 144000

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Ten years of DoD IT acquisition systems engineering management experience of increasing complexity in recent information technology environments and programs, including experience implementing Agile principles and methods.
  • Experience in the direct supervision of professionals in program and acquisition management, including logistics, finance, contracts, and engineering, IT, data, and other DoD acquisition command professional service requirements.
  • Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to initiate plans, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook).

Education or Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification or DAWIA Program Management Level III preferred

Security:

  • Requires the applicant to pass the security clearance requirement for the position. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
