Job Requirements of Contract Specialist L3:
Skills / Experience Required
- Top Secret, SCI Eligible
- 10+ years of proven, practical, and relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience with demonstrated/practical hands-on experience with contracts and subcontracts
- Experience assisting the Contracting Officer in overseeing contract performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders to address any emerging issues
- Demonstrated mastery of FAR and DFAR requirements, coupled with extensive experience collaborating with regulatory agencies such as DCAA and DCMA, ensuring adherence to stringent compliance standards
- Proven ability to conduct thorough evaluations and pricing of government contract proposals, preparing cost/price evaluation documentation and advising on negotiating positions, contributing to favorable outcomes and ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory requirements
- Experience performing contract administration duties while adhering to government policies and best practices, which encompass maintaining meticulous contract documentation and organized file management
- Proficient in working autonomously, with a keen ability to interface seamlessly with team members and leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation and proactively preparing necessary modifications to accommodate evolving project requirements
- Effective communicator capable of facilitating efficient interdepartmental communications, leading meetings to promptly address outstanding contractual issues, inquiries, and actions, fostering a culture of proactive resolution
- Full-time, on-site presence required, with potential travel up to 10% to support program needs
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree (required) in a related field
- Master's degree (preferred) in a related field
- Relevant work experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Specialist Level 3 to join our team of dedicated professionals.
In this role, you will support the Contracting Officer in planning and executing acquisitions for a wide range of products and services, contributing to the success of our contracting operations.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in contract management and a proven track record of navigating complex acquisition processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment are essential to thrive in this position.
Compensation Minimum: $150,000
Compensation Maximum: $165,000
