Job Requirements of Program Security Officer L3:
Skills / Experience Required
Program Security Officer L3 Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- 10+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) classified programs
- 1+ year of direct experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment
- Full-time, on-site position, with availability to travel up to 10% based on project needs
- Proven track record supporting the DoD across physical, information, personnel, industrial, operational, and communications security disciplines, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to deliver Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) programs
- Experienced in implementing and managing Resource Protection Programs, including security access control systems
- Expert user of DoD personnel security software systems and classified information systems
- Supports the development of security policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure classified information is properly protected
- Capable of monitoring-controlled areas and systems for compliance with physical and information security regulations
- Supports the development of security policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure classified information is properly protected
- Capable of monitoring-controlled areas and systems for compliance with physical and information security regulations
- Hands-on experience working with classified computer systems and networks
- Experienced in risk assessment, management, and mitigation for safeguarding classified information
- Assists in the preparation of accreditation packages, including physical security documentation, for agency review and approval
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior military leadership
- Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service in high-tempo environments
- Skilled in critical thinking and proactive problem-solving, with a focus on risk mitigation and prevention
- Knowledgeable in classification management, supporting program managers with guidance and classification decisions
- Supports the development of security policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure classified information is properly protected
- Capable of monitoring-controlled areas and systems for compliance with physical and information security regulations
Education / Certifications
Program Security Officer L3 Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Masters’ Degree (desired)
- Relevant DoD work experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree or certifications

Security Clearance

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and well-qualified individual to join our dynamic team as a Program Security Officer (PSO) Level 3. This is an exciting opportunity to support mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) programs while contributing to national security efforts in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In this role, the PSO will serve as the primary authority for managing personnel security requirements, ensuring compliance across a wide range of security disciplines. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of DoD security protocols, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Compensation Minimum: $120,000
Compensation Maximum: $130,000
