Job Requirements of Contracts Specialist L3:
Skills / Experience Required
Contracts Specialist L3 Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Willing to complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph if required
- 10+ years of DoD contract and subcontract experience
- 4+ years in SAP and/or SCI environments, with recent experience in the past five years
- Strong knowledge of AFFARS, FAR, DFARS; experience with DCAA and DCMA
- Skilled in negotiating and managing contracts with primes and subcontractors
- Manages full contract lifecycle with internal teams and external partners
- Negotiates terms to reduce risk and support financial goals
- Experienced in pricing and evaluating government contract proposals
- Facilitates cross-functional coordination to resolve contract issues
- Prepares and reviews contract documents for accuracy and compliance
- Advises internal teams on contract interpretation and requirements
- Tracks and communicates contract modifications promptly
- Ensures internal approvals before contract execution
- Strong writing, analysis, and team collaboration skills
- Effective communicator with DoD stakeholders and contractors
Education / Certifications
Contracts Specialist L3 Education and Certifications:
- Master’s degree
- Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Job Salary: $150,000 - $165,000
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team as a Level Three Contract Specialist. In this role, you’ll support the Contracting Officer in managing acquisitions across a range of products and services.
You will be involved in the full contract lifecycle—from market research and preparing solicitations to review proposals, evaluating costs, and advising on negotiations. Additional responsibilities include processing invoices, supporting acquisition strategy development, monitoring contract performance, and handling contract modifications in coordination with the Contracting Officer.
The ideal candidate will have strong contract drafting and editing skills, sharp attention to detail, and a solid understanding of procurement regulations and legal terminology.
Compensation Minimum: $150,000
Compensation Maximum: $165,000
