Job Requirements of Operations and Maintenance Engineer:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Must be willing to relocate to the Republic of Marshall Islands, Kwajalein Atoll.
- Up to three (3) years of relevant experience preferably supporting U.S. Government customer(s) within the Department of Defense (DOD) community.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient working in a demanding and flexible environment and demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, delegate, and multi-task.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Writes technical documents and performs technical reviews.
- Must be highly proficient using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, Outlook) with the capability to coordinate with and brief both military and USG personnel.
- Capable of planning, participating in and leading conference calls, impromptu updates, and preparing comprehensive meeting minutes.
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel in support of customer requirements.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance at the appropriate level for the duration of the contract Period of Performance. U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience managing USG contract requirements and deliverables.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP).
- Knowledge of U.S. Army rank and grade structure, and government civilian pay scale equivalencies.
- Active security clearance with current investigation, a plus.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Operations and Maintenance Engineer
Job Description and Responsibilities
Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Engineer for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSENG) for facilities engineering & sustainment and environmental planning & compliance at the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI), Kwajalein Atoll.
Duties and Responsibilities
- O&M Engineering, project management, guidance, and Quality Assurance (QA) oversight to ensure contract requirements, objectives, and standards are performed in accordance with applicable Statements of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for the Army’s Installation Management Command facilities and Tennant Organizations.
- Must be familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), equipment condition monitoring tools, and other software programs like Maximo or GFEBS.
- Should be skilled in preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance, among others along with the tools like red tags and various other metrics.
- Awareness of cross-domain concepts like mechanical/structural sense, electrical systems, electronics, etc.
- Must have a working knowledge of building systems, i.e. boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R, fire suppression.
- Must have knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Should be able to diagnose problems and recommend solutions quickly to minimize critical equipment downtime.
- Assists in the development of Standard Operating Policies and Procedures.
- Must be well-versed in safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct QA audits and assessments to identify, record, and report deficiencies.
- Recommend preventative and corrective action efforts, conduct root cause and statistical analyses and report findings.
- Provide technical and/or administrative recommendations to resolve issues in a timely and fiscally responsible manner.
- Reevaluate areas of concern and/or noncompliance to ensure corrective actions have adequately resolved deficiencies.
- Establish, collaborate, and maintain professional relationships with coworkers, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with various types of funding, including RDT&E and O&M.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Compensation Minimum: $90,000
Compensation Maximum: $105,000
