Vintun is seeking a forward-thinking Systems Engineer to join our team in support of our USMC client in the Quantico and Stafford, VA area. The Commander Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) established Program Manager, Wargaming Capability (PM WGC) to develop and field a system of systems to fulfill the capability gaps identified in the Wargaming Capability Capabilities Development Document (CDD). Vintun provides enterprise support to PM WGC. The PM WGC is responsible for all aspects of acquiring the capabilities defined within the WGC CDD that will focus on providing a state-of-the-art Wargaming Center. The PM WGC requires systems engineering support in order to stay on the aggressive schedule projected and meet integrated prototyping, series of developmental tests, operational tests, system acquisition, system delivery, and system sustainment. Vintun provides direct support to the PM WGC Team in their duties to enable the development and implementation of the necessary war gaming capabilities for the new USMC Wargaming Center.

Job Tasks
• Execute systems engineering related tasks in support of the Wargaming Capability.
• Be familiar with DoD 5000 documentation (e.g. Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Technical Review Action Plan (TRAP), Program Protection Plan (PPP), Performance/System Specification, etc.)., but open to developing new and tailorable documentation (e.g. Prototyping Plan, Experimentation Strategy, IT Deployment Strategy, etc.) in support of Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) programs.
• Develop and staff technical documentation and participate in engineering-related activities that will assist government clients in getting technology / capability sets through the acquisition phases and milestones - with the end state being capable and sustainable solutions.
• Provide hands-on support for requirements management, managing data entry, linking specifications to requirements and satisfying requirements through linking test results.
• Provide direct technical acquisition support, aid in specifications definition with defendable and clear rationale.
• Assist the Government APM-E and System Engineers in the development of technical documentation.
• Interfaces with customers, vendors, and all stakeholders to resolve technical complex problems.
• Reviews engineering and technical documentation from vendors for accuracy and correctness.
• Support customer with planning and management of integration of the Wargaming System of Systems and AV/IT infrastructure within a secure facility.
• Prepare and assist in presenting formal briefings. Assist in facilitating meetings and in capturing minutes and action items.
• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing to executive level leadership stakeholders.
• Work with an engineering team in a fast paced, high visibility program office while balancing multiple workloads.
• Work closely with other competency members of Integrated Product Teams.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Compensation Minimum: $115,000

Compensation Maximum: $135,000

Job Requirements:

Requirements/Qualifications
• Have two to eight years of professional work experience in an engineering or technical positions.
• Have Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level I or II qualified or equivalent education and experience in a technical focus.
• Have a BS in applicable engineering or technical field
• Excellent Writing skills
• Above average skills with MS Office programs

Preferred Skills• Technical Architecture or Networking experience

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
Possible lifting up to 25lbs.
Due to this being a contract position working for the US government all candidates must be a U.S.
citizen and pass a criminal and financial background check as well as a drug test.
