Job Title: Program / Project Manager

Location: San Diego, CA

Job Summary:

Rivet Operations Company “Rivet” has an opening for a Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team in San Diego, CA. The Project Manager will support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command by providing command operations professional support services. Rivet is a leader in physical and cyber security, financial management, logistics, and facilities management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities. Demonstrates written and oral communication skills. Has authority and responsibility to identify and commit resources required to support effort.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience in Financial Management, Cost Estimating, Procurement Strategic Planning and Execution, or Business Management. Must be capable of leading projects that involve the successful management of multi-functional teams. Specialized experience includes project development, expertise in management and control of funds and resources, and demonstrated capability in managing multiple tasks.
  • Provide a consolidated project schedule that is updated frequently. Ensure projects are listed with milestones and dependencies. Maintain timetables and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Respond to interruptions of business operations to mitigate damage and restore normal operations.
  • Review designs, implement new processes, and support continuous improvement for the duration of the project.
  • Perform site visits to ensure compliance with scope of work, note discrepancies, and create reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Perform risk assessments affecting successful project completion and employee work environment.
  • Support safety operations and programs designed to maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with all Operational Security, Information Assurance, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
  • Responsible for all deliverables for the project including written documentation, briefing materials, studies, meeting minutes, and various reports.

Compensation Minimum: $68,640.00

Compensation Maximum: $72,000.00

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data for the federal government
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Ability to work with various Navy and Marine Corps Systems
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s level degree in any technical or managerial discipline required or equivalent experience
  • 15 years professional experience in program or project management
  • Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
